The Controller processes the following personal data of the user entered in the form: email address, first name, last name, company name, address(es), place and postcode, telephone number, payment card and Paypal account, cookie ID, RFID tags and other identifiers, as well as Google and Facebook account for registered users.

The Controller processes the personal data obtained from users for the purposes of business and business correspondence, order fulfilment, direct marketing of services, products or other activities. Direct marketing means the use of personal data of an individual for the purpose of offering goods, services by means of postal services, telephone calls, e-mail or other means of telecommunication (e.g. statistical processing, customer segmentation, processing of past purchasing behaviour, newsletter, sending offers or electronic surveys).

Processing of personal data means any operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data which are subject to automated processing or which, when manually processed, form part of, or are intended to form part of, a collection of personal data, in particular the collection, retrieval, recording, adaptation, storage, alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, communication, dissemination or otherwise making available, classification or association, blocking, anonymisation, erasure or destruction; the processing may be manual or automated (means of processing).

The purposes for which personal data are collected, processed, stored and used are: statistical processing, customer segmentation, processing of past purchasing behaviour, sending of offers and promotional material for telephone, written and electronic surveys, notification of benefits, etc.

We will entrust the delivery service (e.g. Pošta Slovenije) with the user’s data (name and surname, delivery address, location and telephone number) for delivery purposes.

The User may at any time request, by telephone on 04 236 46 55 or by e-mail at info@genusluxuries.com, that the Data Controller permanently or temporarily cease using his/her personal data for direct marketing purposes. The controller will accordingly prevent the use of the personal data for direct marketing purposes within 14 days and will inform the requesting user thereof within a further 5 days in writing or by other agreed means (e.g. by e-mail).

The data subject may request information, restriction, deletion, rectification, transfer of the data or lodge an objection.

The Controller will comply with the requirements of the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act when processing and handling the user’s personal data.

In order to protect personal data, the controller will use organisational, technical and other appropriate procedures and measures to prevent unauthorised destruction, alteration or loss of data and unauthorised processing. As there are links on the website to other websites, the controller does not assume any responsibility for the data protection of these websites. Nor is the controller liable for any errors resulting from the provision of incorrect data on the www.genusluxuries.com website.

In the event of loss of personal data, Genus Luxuries Ltd. is obliged to inform the IP as supervisory authority within 72 hours. The reporting obligation is described in more detail in Articles 33 and 34 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Genus Luxuries Ltd. protects personal data against loss, unauthorised access and other misuse through the use of passwords, restricted access, security programs, firewalls and experienced IT staff. We do not consider that an impact assessment is necessary as the risks to the protection of personal data are very low based on past experience.

We estimate that Genus Luxuries Ltd. does not need a Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) by virtue of its activities. The main part of its business consists of services for other companies.
